Services expand in North Perth!- Nancy Martin has returned to the Alzheimer Society of Perth County as the chapter's, Outreach Support Co-ordinator. Nancy's role will be to provide support and education to families in the North Perth area. Visit Nancy at our new satellite office in Listowel at Knox Presbyterian Church-220 Livingstone Avenue. Drop in hours are Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:00 a.m.-12 noon.
First Link Learning Series-As a member of the Support Services team, the First Link Co-ordinator connects newly diagnosed individuals and families with Society and community services through the First Link Program. A key element of the program is the progressive First Link Learning Series. Topics include Next Steps For Families-Care Essentials, Options for Care, Care in Later Stages, as well as a Next Steps course designed for newly diagnosed individuals. Safely Home-Wandering Persons Registry-UPDATE! The Safely Home-Wandering Persons Registry is a national program designed to collect and store confidential information and physical characteristics of those at risk of becoming lost. The fee for registration has increased from $25.00, to $35.00. This one-time fee includes a bracelet, wallet ID cards, and information letter. To register your family member, or to update current contact information, please contact Sheri or Laura at the Society office.
